Hey everyone!!! it's half one in the morning and I must be mad.... im blogging to you guys and I'm finding it quite addictive. Just sorted the internet in my new home and its brilliant!!!!! So the show is going great. A lot of the new cast are fighting off colds, and coughs but thats very normal with the change in season and crazy weather we're having.
so a few things to mention... we had a great suggestion from stargate about designing a logo for the connie t shirts. these t shirts serve no real purpose other than to make my nanna dot's day.she will love it, and maybe we could get her opinion on which logo should be used. if anyone wants to enter this crazy little competition ( can you tell i love competitions?) then i would love you to send your logo designs to miss fisher c/o the london palladium stage door, gt marleborough st, oxford circus, london w1. they must somehow mention this site .. conniefisher.co.uk and we are not allowed to use any images from 'the sound of music' - im afraid that's copyright.the winning t shirt will somehow be displayed on the site, and ofcourse you will be able to purchase the t shirts from this site too. i hope most of you received my second newsletter. lots of exciting talk happening at the moment about life after Maria,and i will keep you all posted. Going to an important meeting on monday about the second album so any requests for songs on the second album should be posted asap! would apprecaite your input on this one, as i want to produce an album that is timeless, yet makes musical theatre modern and commercial, and above all i want it to be an album that you will all want to listen to!

Oh yeah! I Believe My Heart and All I Ask Of You. Memory and wdtw are perfectly suited to your voice and you sing them better than the original artists lol

I would love a studio version of "Whistle Down the Wind". You sang it so well at the ALW Gala concert. Also, "Someone Else's Story" from Chess, and Gershwin's "Someone To Watch Over Me" would be good ones, I think. It's great that you're doing another album--I look forward to hearing it. I totally second: 'Someone to watch over me' it would be wonderful to hear you sing that! Also: 'Memory' would be great!!! I love musical theatre and your voice so much that I will buy your album whichever songs are going to be chosen though!! :) About the newsletter: we haven't received it even though we subscribed to it! hi connie, will definately be sending a design to the palladium! I love the idea of a new album and would really love to hear you sing memory, whistle down the wind and don't rain on my parade! Will definitely be buying your second album, love the first one & play it all the time, especially love "As long as he needs me" I remember you being very upset about having to sing it in on "HDYSAPLM" but as you proved then & on the album , you sang it so beautifully. For the new album agree with everyones suggestions, especially "Whistle down the wind, Memory, All I ask of you & I know him so well with Aoife?" I have a suggestion... An album about a royal caribbean exprience or something related to the sea... I just love the sea and it makes dream and feel like flying... I believe I can fly... I believe I can touch the sky...

Get well soon from your chest infection. I will be designing a few logos and getting them to you as soon as I can. I hope others are interested. How about coming out of the comfort zone of musical theatre? How about a really strong love ballad on your album that would be great or even a gospel number. Remember, your health comes first. Wow thats so cool that you could make another album. A few track suggestions, maybe If I can't have you (not sure if thats what its called :S) like you sung on 'How do you solve a problem like Maria' maybe somthing Welsh such as Calon Lan as its such a beautiful song, Midnight...... I'm sure whatever you decide on will be fantastic I have heard a few rumours about the maria/joesph thing, but no real detail. I love your first album and keep playing the songs all the time (especially As Long As He Needs Me, No Matter What, All The Love I Have) It would be great if you could have a duet with Aoife Mulholland, on I Know Him So Well ... also I think that Whistle Down The Wind (a pop version, like As Long As He Needs Me) Memory, Tell Me On A Sunday, All I Ask Of You, I Dreamed A Dream and Any Dream Will Do. Those duets with Aoife and Lee are really good ideas .. especially I know him So well and All I Ask Of you.
WDTW and Memory would be great since you've performed them (and much better than the original artists) What about more Boublil and Schoenberg (spelling?) songs? The Last Night Of The World, On My Own etc. And of course, the Lloyd Weber ones would be great (since you've worked with him) You are a brilliant star! and we will all listen to your album whatever songs are in it! Ive read that you consider yourself a bit of a rock chick! How about some old school rock n roll stuff. Possibly Beatles tunes? Maybe something a bit more up to date like 'Sonnet' by the verve - give all the blokes who secretly fancy you an excuse to buy the album...as a present for their mums obviously!

Hi Connie. Your first album was great, it's nearly worn out now! Even have some of the tracks as ring tones on my phone! Love to hear you sing in your lower register so how about some of the wonderful songs by Karen Carpenter? You're the one for eg. Can you get your duet with Ruthie Henshall on to it? That was fantastic, I have the Faenol on CD so listen to it often. Anything that makes those of us old enough to be your gran happy will be fine!

Connie, Great news on the forthcoming album, now something to look forward to in January. Any news on the t-shirt design yet? Just wanted to wish you a great holiday, enjoy the break!! Wouldn't it be great if you could spare a few minutes in New York to send us all a virtual postcard!! Hope you got our postcard from Dorset!! We have now got some tickets for your last show, but couldn't wait that long and will be coming to London for the day on 1st December to see the matinee, can't wait!!

Glad to here about the new album. How about "Colours of the Wind" from "Pocahontas" and "Someday" from "The Hunchback of Notre Dame"? Both big songs with the right amount of pop.

Another couple of songs for consideration for the new album.
This Masquerade from The Carpenters' 1973 album "Now and The". A haunting romantic melody. "For All we Know" also recorded by The Carpenters on their self-titled album in 1971. But recorded by innumerable artistes including Matt Monro and Shirley Bassey who had a UK hit with it reaching no.6 Trackbacks
