Hi Connie!
I'm a fan of yours from the US. I've seen the Maria show and lots of clips, and I wish I could see "The Sound of Music", but unfortunately I probably won't be able to. It was great to see you on US television for the first time at the Diana concert. You did very well, and it looked like you had a great time. Michelle from St. Louis, MO Re: Re: Hi everybody

Hi Connie,
I attended your performance of TSOM on 7/07/07. I knew you had an amazing singing voice but your acting matched it, especially your use of facial expressions. It was lovely to see you engage with the cast, especially the children, and the audience. I appreciated the fact that despite being between performances you took the time to pose for photographs and sign autographs. You have a wonderful future ahead in musical theatre and I look forward to seeing you again in the West End. Good Luck in all that you do. Judith Re: Re: Hi everybody

Hi Connie
Saw SofM for the 2nd time on Saturday, if anything it was better than the first time. It was great to actually meet you in person after the show and to realise what a nice young woman you are. Keep up the good work! What was it like by the way to fly in an RAF jet? Almost as good as being swept up into the arms of John Barrowman! Even at my great age I envy you both! Hi Connie,
I told you on Wednesday night that you (and the rest of the SOM cast) are getting better and better. This was my 4th show (I'm repurposing the money we used to spend at Chelsea fc) and I'm afraid SOM could easily become a bit of an addiction. Anyway your voice was superb on Wednesday and I look forward to hearing it again when you return from holiday. Have a great time. All the best, Tim x Re: Hi everybody
Hi Connie!
Maybe you remember me, I came to say hi with my friend Vicki about a week ago. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to sign my programme, I know you were in a hurry, but I don't get a lot of opportunities to see you, because I live in the Netherlands. Well, I loved the show, def my favourite musical of all time! Enjoy your holidays! Does anybody have the Connie performances from "How do you solve a problem like Maria?" on DVD?
I have seen some of these on the BBC website and also on Utube, but the quality is poor and I would love to watch them again on the TV. Edited performances of Connie would be fantastic. Thanks, Chris Re: Re: Hi everybody

I have the recording where Belinda goes out. I do not however have the recording of where Simona and Leanne went out. So want to see Connie singing "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend". Prynhawn da, Connie!
Hope you are well? Just wanted to say I for one didn't really watch 'How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria', but was delighted that the Sound of Music was being brought to the stage. You completely blew me away and more than convinced me of the role of Maria, a part you were born to play, you also made my nan cry on more than one occasion with your singing! You more than deserve a life long career and I for one will be coming to see any future shows. You are a born STAR and a true professional! Good Luck Love J xx Re: Hi everybody

Relief sounded up and down our row of 8 when you appeared on top of the hill! Hi Connie
We came to see you in TSOM on 7/8/2007 and thought you were fantastic. This was our second time seeing the show, but our first time seeing you in it, as last time Sophie Bould played the part of Maria. Although she was very good in the role, it was worth every penny to come and see it a second time just to see you play Maria, we thought you were fabulous. Your voice was amazing and your acting was superb. We loved your use of facial expressions too, it added so much to the performance. We think you’re one talented singer and actress and definitely the ideal person to play Maria. We’re so glad that the Maria programme gave you that opportunity, that you might not have got otherwise, and allowed you to achieve your dream. Thanks for signing our programme after the show; you seem to have lots of time for your fans which we admire. Anyway we wish you lots of luck for any future shows/projects you work on, we think you’d make a great Mary Poppins! Take care, love Suzy and Jen xxxxx Re: Hi everybody

Hi Connie,
We travelled all the way from South Africa to see you, having seen the BBC programmes. The show was superb and you were absolutely fabulous - what talent! The cherry on top was the privilege of meeting you and being able to take pictures with you and my daughter Megan. To be able to give you my card personally was just wonderful. As you know by now, I am a tap dancer still and so relate to you achieving your dreams. Our company hope to perform at the Royal Variety Performance one of these days!! (So we continue dreaming too!) You are not only a brilliant performer but a lovely, caring person and this attribute endears you to everyone, young and old. Having seen the recordings of Joseph recently, it is clear that Andrew Lloyd-Webber is delighted with his "Maria" and so he should be! You are a true star!! Meg and I are saving like crazy to come back to London to see you again. In the meantime, remember if you come to South Africa to let me know - you have my number in your "strawberry card". As a dance group we have many contacts in the showbizz world who would love to meet you. Take care of yourself! Lots of love Carol x Re: Hi everybody

Hi Connie,
I saw you on the first Saturday after opening night last year- you were amazing! I will hopefully also see SOM again on 4th September with a friend who hasn't yet seen the show. Is there anyway you could have a separate post/page on here for people to post when you will be appearing on tv/ events. It's a bit hit and miss as people have said, and if it is too difficult for you to do in your busy lifestyle I'm sure plenty people her could oblige. For example, you are Friday Night Is Music Night Tonight on BBC Radio 2 at 7pm in the Andrew Lloyd Webber gala- and the tickets sold out before most people knew the event existed! Hi Connie, thanks so much for having a pic taken with my little girl, Emily, just before your evening performance on 24th Aug. I know you had guests but thanks for doing it, Emily was thrilled! It was a very special trip cos we wanted to show Emily around London before we emigrate to Senegal shortly. The show was spectacular and then seeing you unexpectedly was wonderful! Emily loved the film before the BBc show and she sings all the songs! Bless you in your future career, and sorry for being so 'gushy' when I saw you, I couldn't help it! Kind regards Linda Diggle

I especially enoyed "Whistle Down the Wind" in the ALW concert and your duets with Ruthie Henshall and Michael Ball in "The Hills Are Alive". Great job! Michelle Re: Hi everybody

Hi Connie,
after having seen you in SOM numerous times since November of last year I just have to tell you that you are the best thing to hit the musical stage since Dame Julie herself all those years ago. I am looking forward to seeing you and the rest of that absoulutely marvelous cast again the next time I'm in London. Kindest regards, Renate Re: Hi everybody

Hi Connie,
Great to see your own website online! We went to see the Sound of Music in March (just after your involuntary absence) and you totally blew us away. We had high expectations and they were majorly surpassed! We went to Stage Door where we read the sign saying you wouldn't be coming out because of your recent illness. That was a shame because it would have been wonderful to meet you. Good luck with the show. As we are living in the Netherlands it's just a bit too far to come over for the show again. However, we did the next best thing and bought the CDs! Regards from 2 of your Dutch fans! Angela & Jacqueline PS: Did you ever get the card we sent you from the Netherlands? We sent it to the theater. Re: Re: Hi everybody

Dear Connie
What can I say I have seen you in the SOM 8 times and each time you just get better and better if that is possible. I saw you in your fist week and your acting skills have come on in leaps and bounds. Plus I have managed to speak with you 7 times at the stage door- you must be getting fed up with me!! Last time I finally managed to save the photo's on my phone! How many of you have heard Connie singing "Somewhere" on the West Side Story CD it is amazing her bird like voice makes you feel like you are flying with her. Keep it up Connie and may all your dreams continue to come true. Thank you for making so many people so very happy. Another number one fan right from the begining. with love and best wishes Kathryn Re: Hi everybody

Just to let all forum members know, the shutdown was TEMPORARY. Apologies to those who were worried etc. It won't be closing again and was just a one off due to the fact I am in the middle of trying to update it as much as possible which requires patience, but I'm really trying so please if it ever does go off, please try and cut down the messages! But 99.9% it won't.
Anyways, sorry again. ~Kristina PS-Updated Connie's Myspace page.(Added CD listings) Re: Hi everybody

Hey Connie I got this through ya MySpace so I thought I'd better paste it to ya..
COULD YOU PLEASE DONATE A SIGNED PHOTO TO OUR AIDS BENEFIT AUCTION?!!!!!!!!!!! Connie, I hope that you are doing well. I know you already support AIDS Charities which is why I am writing specifically to you. COULD YOU PLEASE DONATE A SIGNED PHOTO TO OUR AIDS BENEFIT AUCTION?!!!!!!!!!!! I'm music theatre coordinator at Greenwich College and we're currently madly busy ourselves working toward a performance of Rent (Extracts) and some readings from Oscar Moore’s “PWA” for the Terrence Higgins Trust in a bid to raise AIDS awareness amongst students and the wider community. We will be holding an auction at the event and have had positive responses from Sally Ann Triplet, Ben Patrick Johnson, Leon Lopez, Darren Hayes (you know from Savage Garden)...he was very sweet and supportive, Shirley Bassey (!!!), Colton Ford, Carlo Masi, Francesco D'Macho, Marcus Patrick, Ari Gold, Alison Jiear, Pam Ann, John Barr, Luke Evans, Peter Rauhofer, Barb Jungr, Mari Wilson, Dawn Sedgwick Management, Dalzell and Beresford Ltd, Millwall FC (if that floats your boat!), Right Said Fred, Ruthie Henshall, Madness, 4 Poofs and a Piano, Marilyn and Boy George. Pretty impressive already but I hope the event will build momentum and by the time we perform it should be a pretty big deal. Hope you will lend us some support. An autographed photo/ CDs, fan memorabilia etc (anything you think suitable)to auction would be great. Contributions can be sent to DAVID WATTERS, MUSICAL THEATRE COORDINATOR, GREENWICH COMMUNITY COLLEGE, ROYAL HILL, GREENWICH , LONDON SE10 8PY. I am a huge fan and would be grateful to hear from you. Your contribution would make all the difference to the level of publicity/ support we receive and ultimately to the amount of money raised. Sending you best wishes ...David Re: Hi everybody

Dear Connie
I am so sorry about the behaviour of some of the so called profesionals in TSOM you of all people do not deserve that kind of behaviour. Jealousy is a very nasty thing and I except you winning a leading lady position in the West End must have shocked a few people but hang on in there Connie you are better than them anytime. Do not let them spoil our wonderful Connie Fisher. Take care and continue to enjoy your dream you are wonderful. with love Kathryn Re: Hi everybody

When we met I lacked in confidence loads because I'd just had my haircut and hated it SO much omg it was so bad but it's grown now thank god lol. I felt so rough aswell partly because of the 7 hour journey from York to London! A nightmare but SO worth it!! Anyways hope ur well & many thanx again! xx Re: Hi everybody

Hi Connie,
I saved up pratically the whole of last year to see your show. My aunt and I finally got there on the 12th of February. And I can honestly say that, it went beyond what I hoped for, if that makes sense. I think I actually saw you before the show, but I was too stunned and (I cant believe i'm admitting to this, but) shy to go up to you, to ask for your to sign my book. My aunt was egging my onto go upto you, but i didn't want seem like a stalker, isn't that weird... Anyhow, I would just like to say thankyou for a lovely show Sarah ^_^ XxX p.s When you took a mouthful of cake, when the baroness was talking to you ... classic, I was laughing all the way back to the hotel, and my aunt was that embarrased, she walked about 10 feet behind me. lol |
